The classic Last Waltz from Engelbert is the catalyst behind this range of balancing sculptures, almost whimsical with its use of found and made objects, the high level of finishing detail adding to the tactile qualities. Many of the components are screwed together allowing rebuilding adding to the playfullness of the objects. These are the first two that have been finished with several more waiting to be assembled. Cast resin, inlaid resin fibreboard, branches, stainless steel and brass, with a variety of finishing technigues. Sizes range from 300mm wide to 600mm. Already thinking about the outdoor versions too 1.8-3metre would do me fine! I`ll need a courtyard out the back next. |
